How do I use Starfish?
It’s easy!
- Go to the Fullerton College website.
- Click the MyGateway icon in the upper-right corner.
- Sign into MyGateway with your student ID (also known as your Banner ID) and password.
- Find the “Starfish” link in the “Student Links” in your dashboard. (It’s kind of small, so check out the photo of it below.)
- Sign into Starfish with your student ID and password.
That’s it! You’re logged in and ready to start using Starfish.
What can I do with Starfish?
- Click on “Edit Profile” and add your cell phone number to receive texts.
- Click on “My Success Network” to find instructors, counselors and campus resources.
- Click “Plans” to see the requirements of your success plan (if you have one; Not everyone does).
- Click “Raise Your Hand” to ask for help.

services!
Starfish puts so many services at your fingertips! Here’s how to get a list of all your available services:
- In the Starfish dashboard, click “My Success Network” in the “My Services” section.
- Click “Show Other Services.”
That’s it! You’ll see a big list of service “Tiles.” You can click on them to get more information and help accessing that service.
Get in touch with your Professors
Starfish makes it easy to get in touch with your professors! You can learn more about their background from their profiles in the My Connections section. Your professors are part of your “Success Network”, a group of people and services dedicated to helping you succeed at Fullerton College!

What are KUDOS?
Kudos are a way for faculty to provide students with positive feedback about their academic performance.
What can I do with Starfish?
Students can use Starfish to find and connect with campus resources using the Tiles in their “My Success Network” link on their Dashboard. Students can also use the “Ask for Help” feature to ask questions about campus resources and services.
What are "Plans" in Starfish?
Click “Plans” to see whether you have a success plan for the program you’re in. “Plans” are a series of “To Do” items or “Referrals” that you might get if you’re part of a program like Promise. These help guide you in your journey at Fullerton College. If you have a “Plan” and you have questions about it, connect with the Guided Pathways office for more information.
What is a "Service Title" and where so I find them?
A “Service Tile” is a feature on Starfish that includes a block of information for a department and/or service at Fullerton College. There are multiple “Service Tiles” in Starfish with contact information to departments and services throughout campus. The “Service Tiles” can be found by clicking “My Success Network” link on the “My Connections” or “My Services” box on the Starfish dashboard. From there, click the “Show Other Services” button to access all of the Fullerton College Service Tiles.
